A: The National Weather Service Forecast Office and Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu.

Q: When did you begin your work with NOAA?
A: Weather Bureau Airport Station, Pocatello, Idaho on June 13, 1965.

Q: Looking back, what events stand out as the most memorable during your time with NOAA?
A: There have been many weather related disasters. The one I remember well is Hurricane Iniki when I worked a 27 hour shift.

Q: From your point of view, what have been the most significant changes NOAA has experienced during the past 30 years?
A: Advances in satellite imagery from black and white polar imagery to Geostationary Operational Enviornmental Satellite (GOES) color enhanced imagery, improved numerical weather prediction, Doppler radar, Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), and electronic mail.
