    Name: George Myers

Q: Where in NOAA do you work now?
    A:
I have more than 30 years service in the agency and started the working relationship with the Coast and Geodetic Survey in the Marine Chart Division. I am presently with the Hydrographic Surveys Division.

Q: Looking back, what events stand out as the most memorable during your time with NOAA?
    A:
Looking back there are many memorable events that took place. One was when C&GS became NOAA (of course, there were a few other names between that time as ESSA).

Q: From your point of view, what have been the most significant changes NOAA has experienced during the past 30 years?
    A:
Most significant is the advent of computerization in the workplace, however when I arrived the only one who had a telephone at his desk was the boss, now everyone has a phone. I think is it all necessary? Things are made a lot easier today for people in the work force than in the early 60's.
