recreational fishing through cooperative programs with youth
groups and service groups for the disadvantaged. Working with
the recreational fisheries community, Fisheries Service provides

Will You Get to Fish for Anadromous Fish? Anadromous
fish, such as salmon, that are born in fresh water and swim
to the open ocean for most of their life, have been endangered
by destruction of their habitat by many activities of man.
The Fisheries Service supports research and management efforts
in states on both coasts to help these fish recover their
stock.
