    A:
     National Weather Service/Central Region Headquarters/Meteorological Services Division/Kansas City, MO.

    Q: When did you begin your work with NOAA?
    A:
     June 25, 1965 -Washington, D.C. - Old U.S. Weather Bureau Central Office at 24th & M Streets.

    Q: Looking back, what events stand out as the most memorable during your time with NOAA?
    A:
    Introduction of personal computers in the mid- to late 70s, e-mail, Two National Weather Service modernizations - AFOS and AWIPS, the WSR-88D, ASOS, NOAA Weather Radio expansion, great improvement in warning performance. Tragedy: Secretary of Commerce plane crash.

    Q: From your point of view, what have been the most significant changes NOAA has experienced during the past 30 years?
    A:
     NOAA is finally becoming a recognized acronym. People now know who we are and have some understanding as to what we do.
